Hi all,
The question of whether the Creative MP3+ external USB sound card is
supported has been asked before (about a year back), but received little
response. I've done some searching on the net, and it seems that --when
connected to a OHCI USB controller-- the external sound card does fine.
However, when connected to a UHCI controller, there may/will be problems
with intermitted silences. The controller in my laptop is an Intel
82801DB/DBL/DBM UHCI controller (the laptop itself is a Dell Inspiron
5100).
Does anyone have experiences (good or bad) of using the MP3+ on an UHCI
controller?
Regards,
Niek
PS: I'm aware of the fact that the MP3+ needs the full 500 mA that a USB
port can/should-be-able-to produce. I'll use a powered hub, so no
problem there.
