I would like to use an usb 2.0 repeater under linux. The cable seems to work
perfectly
under Windows and is also recognised under linux, if I only load the
uhci-modules (no ehci and
thus no usb 2.0). But if I also load the ehci_hcd.o module and plug in the
repeater, I get the
following messages:

Jan 13 21:11:54 lisa kernel: hub.c: new USB device 00:10.3-4, assigned address 2
Jan 13 21:11:54 lisa kernel: usb.c: USB device not accepting new address=2
(error=-71)
Jan 13 21:11:55 lisa kernel: hub.c: new USB device 00:10.3-4, assigned address 3
Jan 13 21:11:55 lisa kernel: usb.c: USB device not accepting new address=3
(error=-71)

And of course, it is not working. I am using debian woody with kernel 2.4.27.
The motherboard is
an asrock with VIA KT400 chipset.

Did anyone else have this problem? Any Hints? Or is there someone who to manged
to get an usb 2.0
working under linux?

Regards,

Juergen
