Yes! That was the problem... I had CONFIG_BLK_DEV_UB as module configured, but not loaded, therefore there was no driver for the harddrive. "CONFIG_BLK_DEV_UB=n" helps. I do not understand only how could this not loaded module interfere with usb-storage... [let this leave as a rethoric question...] Thanks for the hint...
