Unfortunately the USB -> Serial port is part of the Targus Mobile Port
Station so connecting it directly to the computer, or using a different hub
are not options.
Attached are three files which contain the output of lspci -vvv, the output
of lsusb -vv, and the contents of my /proc/bus/usb/devices file.
I apologize for not sending the necessary information for this problem in
the first place. This error was due to the fact that I am still very new to
Linux; so along with the USB -> Serial port, the part of my system located
between the chair and the keyboard is also not functioning properly :)
