Hello,

I have a wireless test mobile/modem, which uses usbserial generic
driver. It shows up on the /proc/bus/usb/devices file a Ver=1.10,
although the USB PCI hub I used is 2.0. The USB hub driver used is
ohci_hcd.

I can start ppp and ftp on this modem but the throughput is only 400k.
However, on windows, it can achieve 1.2M. I played with TCP window
size without help.

Can any one let me know if USB1.1 device can only go up to 400k? How
can I improve in my case?

It can go up higher, but 1.2M is very close the the absolute maximum.
A bit to close for me, are you sure the measurement is correct?
Are you using the same kind of data and connection?

If it really is such a difference the usbserial driver might not be optimized for such high speeds (such as issuing multiple urbs).
