If you can send me details of your setup (distro, kernel lvl etc) I'll
try and mimic it here and give u guys more info.

I have a prolific usb/serial adapter although I don’t know the version.

I apologise, I miswsed the first half of the thread. (I'll include the
info in another email when I get around to finding what I did with the
cable  lol
