I am attempting to access an FT2232C using the libftdi library on a
2.6.12.3 kernel.
I am having a problem where I am putting the FT2232C into MPSSE mode and
configuring
for JTAG. I am setting up a loopback test and when I run the test the first
time, after resetting the
FT2232C, the loopback test is successful However if I run the test the a
second time
the loopback test fails.
I have contacted the author of the libftdi package and he has not been
able to help with the problem,
though he mentioned he had received some reports of others having problems
running libftdi with 2.6.
I did run a test with the 2.4.31 kernel and the loopback test does work. So
it looks like something has changed
between 2.4 and 2.6. I tried to do a diff of some of the usb driver files,
but there are too many changes to see anything
useful.
I have also turned on debugging such as the usbsnoop, usbmon and the
ohci/uhci debugging options in an attempt
to figure out what is going on. When the debugging is turned on everything
looks the same between the first and second loopback
attempts except that in the second test no data returned.
I can supply all sorts of logs if necessary, but I thought I would just
give an overview first and see if anyone has any suggestions.

        Thanks,
        Damon Brantley
