Hi all,

I recently purchased a trekstor i.beat vision mp3 player(flash based,
512 MB), which behaves like a common usb-storage device when plugged
in(usb 2.0 that is) and therefore shouldn't make any trouble when used
with linux.
First of all, i connected it to several other machines, some running
windows, some running linux(2.6.11.x) where it worked flawlessly, so the
player itself is alright.
Each time i connect it to my machine, which runs an unmodified 2.6.12.3
kernel(on top of debian unstable), i get the following output with
dmesg(i disabled verbose output because i couldn't get any info from it
and will re-enable it if you think it helps tracking down the problem).

I dont get this Buffer I/O errors on my 2.6.11.x kernel, so i guess its
related to my current kernel config (which i'll gladly supply if its
considerd helpful)

sometimes, when putting song on the device, i also get the folling,
which sounds quite bad:

This sometimes results in filesystem corruption (fat16 btw) and i have
to reformat the flash memory.
My machine's usb-controller is by nvidia(nforce 2 / asus a7n8x-e
deluxe).

Thank you in advance for helping out,

Gian Ghodrat
