hi i was wondering if anyone could answer this question.
I'm using gentoo Linux with udev /dev file system and hotplug
I have many serial devices that use drivers in linux/drivers/usb/serial
that are being hotpluged very frequently when you plug a device in
the device shows up in /dev/tts/USB1 and in /proc/usb/devices
In my application that i am writing i want to know what USB serial
number is with what device that is in /dev/
I am communicating via the file handle in /dev but also want to know
what serial number it has.
How would do this?
