It's hard to say without timestamps.  Did those last eight or so lines 
appear at the same time as the others, when you plugged in the camera?  If 
they did, it indicates something is wrong with your hub.  If they didn't, 
it indicates you didn't run gthumb.

That error message means you're using an out-of-date version of libusb.  
You need to upgrade.  (You may need a corresponding upgrade of gthumb at 
the same time.)
