Hi!
I'm having problems with my K750i and the USB modem. I'm able to make a
connection with the included USB cable (using the cdc-acm module) and
connect to the modem using /dev/ttyACM0 or /dev/ttyACM1 with minicom,
typing in AT-commands and everything looks ok. The problems appear when
the phone sends unsolicited events. F.ex. if I turn on unsolicited
key-events with AT+CMER=3,2,0,0,0 and press a button on the phone I get
flooded with +CKEV=<keyno>,1 and the phone appears to be completely
stuck until I remove the usb-cable (it seems to keep sending those
events until disconnected). If I manage to reconnect to the phone again
it spits out a bunch of the similar lines again. I'm having the same
problems with other unsolicited events.
I've tried various settings, baudrates etc, but still the same problem.
I've actually also tried running win XP in vmware, on the same machine,
connecting to the phone with hyperterminal, and strangely enough things
have been working there... Not sure on how level vmwares usb device
management goes.. I'm using Mandrake 10.0, kernel coming with the
distribution, but have had the same results on Mandrake 10.1 (stock
kernel there as well). Are there any success stories out there (on what
systems/kernel versions etc)? Has anyone had the same problem?
Regards,
Mathias Lundgren
