I, too, would like to know a solution to this. In the mean time, here is some information on a device I have. I have a USB magstripe cardreader with dual personalities. It can act like a "wedge" device, where the input comes in as if it were a keyboard, OR it can act as a Human Interface Device. The functionality is toggled via a Command Message. Perhaps your device has a similar option. See if the manufacturer has documentation, or perhaps contact the manufacturer directly for support. For reference, the .pdf for my device is: http://www.magtek.com/documentation/public/99875191-8.0002.pdf ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
