Hi I am developing a linux client which uses a usb-barcodereader to ... well... read barcodes.
The barcodereader imitates a normal usb keyboard, and so 'types' the codes it reads. I do not want the read barcode to be printet on screen, so I am interrested in intercepting the usb device before it reaches X, and by doing that redirecting the input to my application (eg. on a pipe) instead of sending it directly to the X keyboard handler. Does anybody have an idea as of how to do that? Regards Bent Bisballe Nyeng ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
