The Philips ISP1520 only has a single Transaction Translator (TT) that shares
between all devices on the hub. Other hubs on the market that have one TT per
port seem to have less problems.
A lot of USB code has changed since 2.6.11 .. Try 2.6.16

We have plugged nothing else into the hub. I think it is more a communication
problem between UHCI and EHCI when UHCI is compiled into kernel and EHCI is
loaded as a module
