Dear,

I'm trying to get linux to work properly on an embedded system using an STPC
processor. I could load the 2.4.13 kernel on it with no problems and
everything works fine, except USB. The subsystem identiefies the USB memroy
stick as soon as it is plugged in, but then dies with messages such as
"maybe calbe bad? URB time out etc. So I upgraded the system to kernel
2.6.13. The system is defenitly better behaved but still dies, although this
time only the usb mass storage driver. The system now gives read/64 and
read/8 failes with error codes -110.

Can anyone point me to the source of the problem? The same memorystick on a
laptop with the same kernels loaded works perfectly.

the vendor of the embedded system his CF card on an USB reader works just
fine on an 2.4.18-3 kernel...

I'm baffeled

Regards

Max
