Hello, I want to connect a mobile phone BenQ-Siemens EL71 to a Debian Sid with an USB cable.
When I plug in the phone I get the following messages in syslog: usb 2-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 6 usb 2-1: Product: Siemens USB Connectivity usb 2-1: Manufacturer: Siemens usb 2-1: SerialNumber: [...] usb 2-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice But the Siemens tool xmpm (linuX Mobile Phone Manager) doesn't detect the phone. USB sticks work fine. Here are some informations about my system: # uname -rmo 2.6.17.9 i686 GNU/Linux This is compiled into the vanilla kernel: CONFIG_USB_DEVICEFS=y # lsmod |egrep 'usb|hcd' usb_storage 56000 0 scsi_mod 106120 2 sd_mod,usb_storage ohci_hcd 26500 0 ehci_hcd 33672 0 uhci_hcd 23820 0 usbcore 105472 5 usb_storage,ohci_hcd,ehci_hcd,uhci_hcd Why doesn't xmpm detect the mobile phone? What else can I do to get full access to the mobile's filesystem? TIA Til ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
