I got a USB to serial device and it must work but it fail
In lsusb I got:
    Bus 002 Device 006: ID 04b4:5500 Cypress Semiconductor Corp. HID->COM
RS232 Adapter
so y make modprobe cypress_m8 but it don't work, I try with 
modprobe usbserial vendor=04b4 product=5500; modprobe cypress_m8
but it don't work
in dmesg I alway got:
     usb 2-4: new low speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 6
     usb 2-4: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
     usb 2-4: can't set config #1, error -110
and never was make de /dev /ttyUSBx device, I try to make the device by
hand with mknod but it don't work
¿any thing else I can do?
I use Debian testing with kernel 2.6.17-2-amd64
