Hi, I've been trying for almost a week to interface with a special-purpose USB device which is used in a project I'm working on. The only thing I'm sure is that it's based on the Cypress CY7C64713, and that I can use the combination CyAPI.h/CyAPI.lib when programming with it in Windows. I've read on the linux-usb web page that support for those chips should be built-in on recent kernels, but then the same page speaks about firmwares and stuff and I simply get lost. I don't have the time nor the guts to reverse-engineer the driver for windows. What am I supposed to do? From what I understand, Cypress chips are pretty popular, is it possible I am the first one facing this issue?
