Hi all, I have a USB 2.0 compliant external harddisk (from entermultimedia.com). i am on a custom SMP kernel 2.6.18.3 (RHEL4). have compiled hotplug support statically and usb controller drivers dynamically. in kernel. I am unable to hotplug the ub device. dmesg doesnt show any change in output when i plug in the usbstorage device. how do i mount the external hardisk ? how do i invoke the hotplug system ?
