Hmmm... That's not good news.
Unfortunately, an add-on PCI controller card is not an option for me. 
The motherboard is a Via Epia CN10000, mini-ITX form factor and it's 
build into a small case that has no room for any PCI cards.

My only option is to swap this system with my backup system, another 
mini-ITX: Via Epia M10000. A bit older, less and slower memory, a noisy 
fan on the CPU but at least high-speed USB is working.

Anyway, thanks for looking into this problem. If you or anyone else 
wants to do some more tests and need my help with it, please let me know.
