These resets are generally the result of low-level device or communication 
problems.  Check the quality of your cables (including any cables which 
may connect the USB ports to the motherboard on the inside of the computer 
case).

If you want to get more information about what's going wrong, start by 
turning on CONFIG_USB_SUSPEND and see what dmesg shows.  To get even more 
info, use the usbmon facility (instructions in the kernel source file 
Documentation/usb/usbmon.txt).
