Hello,

I'm puzzled: I'm running Debian Etch and have connected the following USB
devices to my computer:

1) mouse,
2) DVD burner,
3) printer,
4) USB hub

which run all fine.

Now, when I connect my HTC P3300, there is no log entry, regardless which
USB port I use (back, front or USB hub). I mean something like:

new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 6
usb 5-4: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice

The PDA gets powered by USB, also a USB card reader is working fine with
the same USB cable.

So, why are there no log entries, when I plug in the PDA? Why there is no
sign of it in lsusb? I suspected that any USB device is known to the
system, except that it is not supported in the sense of you cannot use it,
It is not my primary intention to use the PDA with Linux, but via VMware.

Bye,
