Dear USB developers,
Sam Revitch is currently developing a driver for Ricoh webcams with id
05ca:1870. (See: http://lsb.blogdns.net/ry5u870). I'm testing the results.
Everything looks very good - driver wise.
But the problem I'm facing is that my laptop only is able to use the webcam
directly after boot or after reloading the module ehci-hcd. After some time
(some minutes?) the webcam isn't usable any longer.
After further investigation I discovered that the the unresponsive driver goes
into the state "lost IAA". These messages are not generated when the driver is
correctly working. I can reprocude this in 2.6.18-gentoo-r2 and 2.6.20-gentoo.
I would happily give any other information if needed.
