I have an Apacer ER151 internal card reader that acts weird. It has a power light and an access light. The power light is on when the computer boots but if there is no SD card in the slot when it boots, the light goes off if I put an SD card in.
I get this in dmesg: scsi 4:0:0:2: rejecting I/O to dead device Full dmesg logs are at: http://lockie.ca/test/dmesg_before.zip http://lockie.ca/test/dmesg_after.zip The same thing happens in WindowsXP. I would suspect a hardware problem if the reader didn't work at all but it works if the computer boots with a card in. If the light goes off, I can fix it by powering off the computer (rebooting doesn't help). I've tried a different USB header on the motherboard and the latest BIOS. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
