Hello all,

I encountered some strange behaviour using EHCI support on an MPC8343:
In case there is an over-current reported to the USB controller while
no device is actually attached (due to a faulty board or by test creating
a short at an extension cord) it seems as if no device is recognized any
longer uppon connection.

The reason for this seems to be that the USB controller no longer asserts the
Connect Change Status Bit in the PORTSC register while otherwise reporting
the correct port status. When I modify the driver a bit so that a connect
change is reported after detection of a change in the Current Connect Status
Bit even if the Connect Change Status Bit is not set I am again able to
access
a newly attached device after the described over-current situation.

Has anybody made a similar observation so far?

- Christian
