After using a mouse connected to usb some minutes it stops working. It usually
stops working during dragging, f.ex. changing the size of a window. In ms
windows there is no problem. The mouse works also fine on another computer
running the same kernel version. And the same problem occurs with a different
usb mouse.
If we after this log out/shutdown/restart from gnome, the computer freezes.
I use linux-2.6.20, and the ndiswrapper driver for a wireless network adapter.
The same problem occurs with ndiswrapper not loaded.
The driver ohci_hcd seems to be the problem.
When inserting the module ehci_hcd after this event, and then inserting a usb
2.0 device in the same port there turns up a line like this in /var/log/messages
Mar 30 17:45:21 pedro kernel: usb 3-3: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd
and address 15
But it is not possible to use the inserted device (a flash key).
When removing the device this turns up

Usb 1.0 devices gives no message in the log after the freeze.
Before the mouse lock, I can use devices that only need ehci_hcd (a flash memory
stick) without problems. The mouse does not work if ohci_hcd is not loaded.
After the mouse stops working, also any commands "rmmod ohci_hcd" or "lsusb -v"
freezes completely and cannot be killed.
The computer is an ASUS laptop of the model A6R
