Can anyone point me at any tutorial material on USB HID Reports, Report Descriptors and Features, please? I've Googled, of course, but all the sites I've found seem to point either at the USB Org HID Page, either directly or indirectly. I have read the USB HID standard, but I don't understand it as well as I would like. It doesn't have enough examples to make the topics clear to me. I have written experimental drivers for two graphics tablets, but I don't understand the feature requests that I have to send to them to get them going (I simply caught them with a USB analyser), and the HID Report Descriptor of one of them looks like rubbish as from about half way through, but not bad enough rubbish for me to condemn as corrupt. (Difficult to explain.)
On line material would be good, but I'm prepared to buy a good book. Since everything points to the USB HID Page, and no-one offers any other explanation, I am tempted to think that very few people actually understand the topics.
