Hi list, please CC me since I'm not subscribed. I just bought a pci usb 2.0 card. The kernel detects it as:
02:01.0 USB Controller: NEC Corporation USB (rev 43) (prog-if 10 [OHCI]) 02:01.1 USB Controller: NEC Corporation USB (rev 43) (prog-if 10 [OHCI]) 02:01.2 USB Controller: NEC Corporation USB 2.0 (rev 04) (prog-if 20 [EHCI]) It works out of the box. I tested a keyboard, a usb stick and an external usb drive. Everything works, but as soon as I plug in my mouse and move it around the system just restarts. It does not matter if X is running or not, after 1-5 seconds the machine restarts. That's with 2.6.22-rc7. 2.6.21.x locks up immediately. I disabled the usb ports on my mainboard in the Bios but that didn't help either. Googling around I found some suggestions to reload ohci-hcd with nohandshake=1. I tried that but it didn't help. Just to rule out a broken mouse i tested another one, which gave me the same problem. Any ideas?
