Have you had the chance to look into this? If so, did you find anything more 
out?

I have noticed the same problem with my Cowon D2 4GB + 8GB SDHC card.
(Sandisk Ultra II SDHC 8 GB to be exact.)


I have no problems actually using it, but I get these nasty looking messages in
dmesg.

And just as you said, I get none of those errors if I use the card with a plain
SDHC reader, so it would seem that it's not the partition table on the card that
is wrong.

On the other hand, I would imagine that repartitioning the card to match the
size reported when used through the D2 would work around the problem, and I
think I'll just take that easier route myself as it seems that most likely it's
a problem with the D2 firmware, and then submitting a ticket in their support
system may be all one can do.


A typical session of mine looks like (with 2.6.23.8):
