Hi! My name is Nicolas, i am from Argentina and i have recently bought a ROKR Z6.
I work as a Linux Administrator, so i am very interested in having this phone working with linux, as this is my favorite OS. I read in the usb-users mail list archive a previous discussion about this issue, where two users tried to fix this issue by patching the kernel in 3 files and then recompiling. here is a link to the archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/linux-usb-users@lists.sourceforge.net/msg19221.html I have made those three changes in the kernel, but my phone is still unable to mount properly all the time. it gets recognized and automatically mounted sometimes, dmesg: [43849.768000] PM: Adding info for scsi:7:0:0:0 [43849.768000] sd 7:0:0:0: [sdb] Attached SCSI removable disk [43849.768000] sd 7:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg1 type 0 [43849.768000] PM: Adding info for scsi:7:0:0:1 [43849.772000] sd 7:0:0:1: [sdc] Attached SCSI removable disk [43849.772000] sd 7:0:0:1: Attached scsi generic sg2 type 0 [43856.376000] sd 7:0:0:0: [sdb] 1983494 512-byte hardware sectors (1016 MB) [43856.376000] sd 7:0:0:0: [sdb] Write Protect is off [43856.376000] sd 7:0:0:0: [sdb] Mode Sense: 03 00 00 00 [43856.376000] sd 7:0:0:0: [sdb] Assuming drive cache: write through [43856.380000] sd 7:0:0:0: [sdb] 1983494 512-byte hardware sectors (1016 MB) [43856.380000] sd 7:0:0:0: [sdb] Write Protect is off [43856.380000] sd 7:0:0:0: [sdb] Mode Sense: 03 00 00 00 [43856.380000] sd 7:0:0:0: [sdb] Assuming drive cache: write through [43856.380000] sdb: [43858.396000] sd 7:0:0:1: [sdc] 128671 512-byte hardware sectors (66 MB) [43858.396000] sd 7:0:0:1: [sdc] Write Protect is off [43858.396000] sd 7:0:0:1: [sdc] Mode Sense: 03 00 00 00 [43858.396000] sd 7:0:0:1: [sdc] Assuming drive cache: write through [43858.396000] sd 7:0:0:1: [sdc] 128671 512-byte hardware sectors (66 MB) [43858.396000] sd 7:0:0:1: [sdc] Write Protect is off [43858.396000] sd 7:0:0:1: [sdc] Mode Sense: 03 00 00 00 [43858.396000] sd 7:0:0:1: [sdc] Assuming drive cache: write through but usually it just get detected but i am unable to mount anyhow, dmesg: [ 95.336000] usb-storage: device found at 3 [ 95.336000] usb-storage: waiting for device to settle before scanning [ 95.336000] usbcore: registered new interface driver usb-storage [ 95.336000] USB Mass Storage support registered.
