David, It has been a while since I tested your scanner driver on my computer, the first version of your scanner driver worked with the supplied scanner test program (the one which scanned the bed and retrieved a data file). I did test 2.3.45 recently with your new patch and although I didn't do any testing with sane I noticed that the test program (recompiled from your new patch) didn't work. I just wanted to know whether the test program is still current or should I now test using sane? I will make sure I grab a copy of the 2.4 pre-release and test it with sane. By the way nice web site I noticed It even found its way into Linux Journal. Interesting story about why you adopted Linux, I did also for similar reasons. Although I am a Mechanical Engineer and can only code in Fortran, Pascal & Basic (yeah basic commodore 64 basic that is remember gosub() & goto() and all those horrible line numbers shudder!). Although I am thinking about doing an IT degree, and would like to learn c++, perl, blah blah blah. Anyway, well done. Best Regards, Peter Firmstone. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
