Hi Dyson,

The code is there to support Interrupt in.  The function is called
irq_scanner() and has been present since the mid 2.3.40's (I think).

Thanks for the generous offer, but somebody else is going to have to step
up to the plate.  My time investment on this project is becomming less and
less since I wish to pursue other adventures.  But don't despair.  
Johannes is working on libusb for use by apps in user space so any
development time and effort is probably better directed to using that
code/inteface.
