I went ahead and built a pre4-5 kernel to see if usb-storage patches
have made any progress against this digi-cam.

Things do look better, but I am still having trouble interpreting the
results.

This line from the log looks interesting -- there is no /dev/sg1, do I
need to create it? If so, how?

Apr 8 11:54:56 aurora kernel: Detected scsi generic sg1 at scsi1,
        channel 0, id 0, lun 0, type 6

Below is 'cat /proc/scsi/scsi' output. Based on that info, I would
expect the camera to be on /dev/sdb (or sdb1?), but alas nothing to
mount there ('not a valid block device').

Any ideas are appreciated.

Thanks!
