The only data point I have is that it stopped somewhere between 2.3.40
and 2.3.50. When was this queing of bulk transfers introduced? I am
still waiting for my USB scanner (I talked to EPSON today and they have
not yet sent it out so don't hold your breath). As soon as I have access
to the hardware I can do some tests. I don't want to compile every kernel
from 2.3.39 up, so if you can give me some pointers to when this change
occured I could save some time.
