Most drivers seem to just start an interrupt transfer and keep it going
until no-one's interested anymore (or the device gets unplugged). The
HID driver is a good example. As soon as you plug in the device, you're
typically interested in the data coming from it. It's not a big deal if
the interrupt keeps getting resubmitted, as you won't have it completed
unless you do things with the device.

In my case, however, I was using interrupt out to play forces on a
joystick. I have a number of transfer that need to be done, and then I
want to be done with it. It makes it kind of difficult if I keep being
called back ;-)
