I was just about to write to Eric Youngdale
but first I noticed that I kept a patch from him on
linux-scsi dated 3/16/2000 that does this.
This patch is in 2.3.99-pre7-6 (and maybe
earlier). And it compiles usb-storage into
the kernel (after modifying usb/Config.in to allow
usb-storage to be built in-kernel).

So is there still a problem (other than with
usb/Config.in)?
