Hi there. I recently installed RedHat 6.1 on my Omnibook 4100 laptop
with a pII266, 96 megs, 6.4 gig HD. I have a belkin usb-printer cable,
and an epson stylus color 600. i have been through the various faqs,
etc. but cant seem to get anything working yet. The instructions that I
found told me to use make menuconfig and just follow the options. i
tried that command along with just menuconfig and i keep getting a no
command found error. i read through the instructions some more (Basic
USB Configuration)and i am thinking that maybe i need to recompile usb
support into my kernal which i dont really want to do, but will do if i
have to. Basically i just need to know if my kernal supports usb, and if
so how do i get it detected. Im not sure if the usb port is enabled, im
thinking it is, because i ran some command /pci/pconfig maybe? and it
showed 1 usb entry it was an intel pIIx4 i think, so i saw that linux
detected it, but how do i get it up and running?
