Nope. Gawd I wish. I see the same problems as are being discussed
under the product support page for the device. ~blech~ I just tried to
get there to give you the URL but it seems to be "broke" right now. Do
note, I am using a 2.2.14 kernel, not a 2.3.99-pre* kernel. If some
work has been done in the latest 2.3 kernel that has not been backported
I can give that a try but it was my understanding that the backport was
up to date. The messages on that link above suggest that the 2.3.*
users are having the same troubles.

Anyway, let me yank the USB cable and replug so I get some fresh log
messages for ya:

May 15 07:14:04 pc kernel: usb.c: USB disconnect on device 2
May 15 07:14:08 pc kernel: usb.c: USB new device connect, assigned
device number 2
May 15 07:14:08 pc kernel: Searching unusual device list for (0x781,
0x5, 0x5)...

Note the last message was hacked in by me so that I could see what
devices's id was. Also note that I took the numbers given above and
plugged them into the "us_unusual_dev_list[]" table with:

        { 0x0781, 0x0005, 0x0005,
          "Sandisk ImageMate (2)", US_SC_SCSI, US_PR_CB,
          US_FL_SINGLE_LUN | US_FL_START_STOP },

Which is just a duplicate of the ImageMate line that was in there.

Now I do a `echo "scsi add-single-device 1 0 0 0" > /proc/scsi/scsi' and
get these messages:

May 15 07:14:56 pc kernel: usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
May 15 07:15:21 pc last message repeated 5 times
May 15 07:15:21 pc kernel: usb-storage: bus_reset() requested but not
implemented
May 15 07:15:21 pc kernel: usb-storage: bus_reset() requested but not
implemented
May 15 07:15:26 pc kernel: usb-storage: host_reset() requested but not
implemented

And that's that. :-) This is pretty much the same as others have been
finding with the "non-eject button version" (yeah how do you like that
product differentiator huh? ~laffs~) of the SDDR-05. Apparently there
was a note that the "non-eject button version" was going to require a
significant more amount of work to get it to work. I was hoping to see
the docs for both SDDR-05 models so I could assess exactly what's gunna
need doing and perhaps roll up my sleeves and get to it. I can hack in
addition to whining. :-)
