Looks like same, same to me.

That's the major problem. There is nothing going on, and no indication of
any errors being put into /var/log/messages. I get the message that the
monitor hub is being added (which you saw), but then nothing else. I also
don't see where it is counting the 4 ports in the hub. Should it do that?
