I've got a pair of the said speakers and have tried them with linux-usb in kernel 2.4.0-test1. The audio driver seems to recoginise the device and produces these output in syslog: Jun 15 11:56:57 neem kernel: usb.c: registered new driver audio Jun 15 11:56:57 neem kernel: usbaudio: device 6 audiocontrol interface 0 has 0 input and 1 output AudioStreaming interfaces Jun 15 11:56:57 neem kernel: usbaudio: device 6 interface 1 altsetting 0 does not have an endpoint Jun 15 11:56:57 neem kernel: usbaudio: device 6 interface 1 altsetting 1: format 0x00000040 sratelo 4990 sratehi 55010 attributes 0x00 Jun 15 11:56:57 neem kernel: usbaudio: device 6 interface 1 altsetting 2: format 0x80000040 sratelo 4990 sratehi 55010 attributes 0x00 Jun 15 11:56:57 neem kernel: usbaudio: device 6 interface 1 altsetting 3: format 0x00000010 sratelo 4990 sratehi 55010 attributes 0x00 Jun 15 11:56:57 neem kernel: usbaudio: device 6 interface 1 altsetting 4: format 0x80000010 sratelo 4990 sratehi 55010 attributes 0x00 Jun 15 11:56:57 neem kernel: usbaudio: device 6 interface 1 altsetting 5 unsupported channels 1 framesize 3 Jun 15 11:56:57 neem kernel: usbaudio: device 6 interface 1 altsetting 6 unsupported channels 2 framesize 3 Jun 15 11:56:57 neem kernel: usbaudio: constructing mixer for Terminal 3 type 0x0301 However if I try to play a sound file to /dev/dsp, I got a kernel oops and a entry in syslog: Jun 15 11:57:27 neem kernel: NMI Watchdog detected LOCKUP on CPU1, registers: Jun 15 11:57:27 neem kernel: CPU: 1 This is a PII BX dual processor system.
