you can get the Mandrake kernel patched with the usb backport you can
get the last version from :
ftp://ftp.sunet.se/pub/Linux/distributions/mandrake-devel/cooker/Mandrake/RPMS/kernel-2.2.16-10mdk.i586.rpm

PS: i think there is a kernel rpm version of RedHat with usb backport
from Alan Cox try to find on the archives of this mailing list (but i
am not sure if is updated to the last backport).
