Hi,

Instead of 2.3.99-pre9, you may want to use
2.4.0-test2 or 2.4.0-test3-pre2.  They work
even better IMO.

About the backport, I've used it several times
and haven't had this kind of problem with it.

I have downloaded the 2.3.99-pre9 kernel and
it works fine !:-)

I don't know where is the mistake in 2.2.14 backport
because I think that I have rebuilt all the sources!
