Hello !

I have a biger problem than you! My modem doesn't work !!!
I have Mandrake 7.1 installed, it detect USB fine, but not my Elsa USB modem
!
I heard about ACM, but i don't know what it is, and in wich way i can run
the modem !

I'm a beginner. Can you help me step by step ?

0.  Please don't use html-formatted email.

1.  Visit www.linux-usb.org and read the "USB Guide" (user guide).

2.  ACM is Abstract Control Model, a subclass of the
    Communications Device Class, which is often used for
    USB modems (but not all USB modems).
    You need the acm driver loaded when trying to use a USB
    modem, but it doesn't work with all USB modems.
