I had to edit the text first in text editor and then paste it to the
mail window. But now I switched back to yahoo mail classic -- let's
see...

Yes, this was supposed to be handled by udev scripts in the ARM
environment. The thing was that I was not able to do the umount even
manually. But now, as I tried to collect more details, I am not able to
replicate the problem at all! How typical and embarrassing. One thing
that might have misled me is that the shell kept the redirected file
open. But I tried honestly to check very carefully that there were no
files open on the stick before umount. Oh well...

Thanks anyway and sorry for the noise.

The difference between the ARM system and my desktop was that the
desktop uses lazy umount.
