OK, I've got an inexpensive USB turn table with problems. Google has not
found a known bug.
I'm kind of a usb/kernel noob here, but I'll try to post pertinent info...
On machine A, the device connects, and is detected and workd in Audacity.
Machine A details:
32-bit Xubuntu laptop, running 3.0.0-27-generic i686
Not sure about the MB. It's a Dell D630.
Intel 82801H USB controller, rev 2
On Machine B, within seconds, it kills my keyboard, either by having no
response, or by sending repeating keypresses (on 2 occasions had it send
either "n" or "enter" as if I were holding down the key). Obviously, not
very useful. ;-) If I hurry, lsusb on Machine B does show the device before
the keyboard goes nuts.
Machine B details:
64 bit Xubuntu, 3.2.0-33-generic x86_64
MSI N1996 motherboard
NVIDIA Corporation MCP61 USB Controller, rev a3
Finally, I can boot a 32 bit version of Xubuntu and connect the turntable,
but have yet to get audacity to pull sound from it. Might be a settings
thing. lsusb is also below, but almost identical.
Any other info I can give, please let me know.
