The initial steps are already present in 3.8-rc1. I have recently posted patches for two more drivers (ehci-mxc and ehci-omap). Some of the people at Linaro may be working on it as well. They expressed interest but they haven't reported on their current progress. Anybody who wants to work on the conversions is welcome to do so.
