Yes, it has some specific commands for power control and a few other functions. While it is not extremely different than option, the Sierra driver is currently meant to drive Sierra devices. temp sha, what is the problem with using the Huawei device with the option driver? Is there a bug that prevents the device from working there? Every other non-Gobi/non-MBIM Huawei device is currently driven by 'option' and I think yours should also be the same.
