There are lightweight systems (think busybox based) that would benefit from
this change, as many of these systems do not have a Perl interpreter
installed, and installing one would pose an inconvenience due to the size
and dependency requirements of the interpreter. Granted, this is a small
difference, but why not?

The only reason that 'ezusb_convert.pl' is written inside the patch is
for the need to remove this script. Farther down in the patch, it adds
the script 'ezusb_convert.sh'.
