I don't know about better or best, but I have used AMaViS with Sophos and was quite happy with it. I even had a script which would retrieve the latest virus definitions without any user input.
I believe Sophos have now come out with their own package which will do away with the need for AMaViS, but I don't know any more than this. With Sophos and Amavis, we blocked about 2 viruses per week, and never let one get through. The load impact wasn't bad, but could slow down a big e-mail sent to everyone in the company by half a minute since the same mail message would get scanned a dozen times. - Mark On Tuesday 02 October 2001 10:03, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > > I am using postfix and an imap server on linux feeding windows clients. > > I want to scan on the server for viruses.
