Hi-ho Last night I upgraded my bash version
$ bash --version GNU bash, version 2.05.8(1)-release (i386-redhat-linux-gnu) Copyright 2000 Free Software Foundation, Inc. It operates differently to the one I was using ...nice rule after upgrading your shell ...check and recheck scripts which "rm -f *" kinda stuff" ...just managed to 'create' extra space on my hard drive ;) Have created a "@@@@@" file without read or write access to possibily catch any future fluff-ups !! cheers Anonymous ;) -- Tutor Assistant [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Dept. of Computer Science University of Canterbury Phone: +64 3 366-7001 ext: 7871 Office: 323 [ http://www.cosc.canterbury.ac.nz/~marcus/index.html ]
